His 9 slot charge was the biggest comeback in PGA TOUR (U.S.) history, not just the tournament!

The only bigger charge-from-behind in WORLD golf history was Paul Lawrie's comeback from 10 down in the 1999 British Open.

Cloud 9 indeed! Although I fear that ruling on the last hole may get more bad press as the week progresses. The sports writers love nothing more than a controversy, so Stewart is braced for some blowback. I'm glad he has the PGA rules officials on his side.

I didn't know there is a controversy - I didn't tune in until Purdy was on 17 and Stewart was already in the clubhouse waiting to see if there'd be a playoff. What's the ruling issue?
