Kitty Caption XLVIII – Spring Time – (Humor/Meow Alerts)
19 April 2004

Springtime at last. Winter is over (if it still cold where you are, tough). Flowers are blooming (if you have allergies, sorry), young men have (you know what) on their minds, baseball season has started (no-one has been eliminated yet), most of the election primaries are over with (thank goodness). A few kitty pictures to remind you that spring is here.
Today is the Boston Marathon. Here is my predicted winner. Courtesy of humblegunner.
Mating call gone too good.
Weekend drives in the Hill Country. Just lookout for this.
Hibernation over, time to get up and go to work.

Thanks for the ping!
Funny cat story: Our orange and white female, Tigger, likes to curl up on top of my husband's computer monitor while he works on the computer. Over the weekend we got a new computer and moved the one she sleeps on into the kitchen. We wondered how she would react to her monitor being moved, since the new computer has a flat screen!
Sure enough, she attempted to access the top of the flat screen and ended up doing a "kilroy". Her front paws and eyes were visible over the top of the screen, but she couldn't figure out where the rest of it went.
A definite "you had to be there" moment. The outraged look on her face was priceless.

I've been there and you made me ROFL! Two of my four cats used to love to sleep on top of my monitor. All that hair in the vents was bad enough but one day a cat puked in a 2 year old monitor and it was replaced by a flat monitor.
You've seen this, so you can relate. Their only access to the top of the monitor was from the front and, from there you can't tell if there's anything behind the screen, so I'd be sitting here, a cat would walk up, take a look at me, look at the top edge of the monitor and jump off into oblivion.

Too funny! Tigger's quite ticked off at us right now. I'm sure she'll figure out where the other monitor went and resume her sleeping habits, but for now she's quite put out.

Tell Hummmmmmmmmbeeeee, that is the most precious kitten, next to Trouble, of course!
I like the last one also (yawning) and the squirrel. Reminds me of the squirrels that we use to feed at Taxman's. That would come and take the nuts right out of our hands and would the three little chipmunks.

Looks like you've got some beautiful part Burmese, and some part Russian Blues and one one adorable orange baby!
Are the black cats chatty? I had two part Burmese black cats and they were both little talkers who were mulit-syllabic.

These critters are all "mutts". LOL! No telling what their genetic makeup is.
A few of the black cats are chatty but most are fairly quiet. Darla is the most vocal of the herd and I get tickled at all the different sounds she makes. Sometimes, she even says "momma".
Glad to hear Finbar's doing better. I know it's got to be tough knowing he's been sick and not being with him.
Thank you for being over there to help with the efforts.

Zachary looks like he is enjoying that bath just a little too much. If I ever did that with Bubba, I don't think I'd live to tell about it. LOL

I wanted to share a few updates of my cats with y'all :) I love Kitty Caption threads.

What a bunch of cuties. Great outside pictures. I can't believe Zachary likes water. My cats are deathly afraid of water. Even if it's a tiny drop.
To: MotleyGirl70
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

Little One's tail looks like a club! They're both adorable but it looks like Motley needs to unwind a little.

Thank you ALL so much for your prayers for my Finbar. I know I'm leaving some of you off...I'm getting ready to race to a meeting (I'm halfway around the world in a weird time zone...y'all are probably all asleep now...)
But...
FINBAR'S TESTS CAME BACK NEGATIVE! HE'S GOING TO BE OK!!
Thank you again... FReepers really are the best people!!
