Gawd, I would hate to have to milk a buffalo.

Domestic water buffalo, no relation to American Buffalo.

Ohhhhh Swerv.. we do that too with or without the toasted bread.. Yum!

I've had my own basil for years, but I lost it last winter. People around here lost a lot of things this last winter. My daughter lost a 20 year old Rose of Sharon tree. Mine, on the other hand made it.

"Even better with buffalo milk mozarella, basil and olive oil" <>Ummmm, a great lunch, I love it. I like it with Feta, too. Of course, I also love little tomato sandwiches.

"Do you like salsa make with tomatoes ?"

Yeah, sometimes. Actually, I like most things made with tomotoes. I just don't like raw tomatoes.

That so funny, especially for country girls like us. LOL I used to run through my grandmother's garden, grab a big juicy tomato, warm from laying out in the sun, brush the dust off and take a big bite. LOL

A much more endearing image...

Sitting in the shade of the White House South Portico, Barney watches Marine One take off with the Boss from the South Lawn.

Cook Up Carrots, Jamaican Style

Spicy and slightly sweet, Jamaican jerk seasonings bring carrots to life in this recipe. A pressure cooker speeds up the time by 10 minutes. If you are a vegetarian or vegan or want to try something new and healthy, add diced spicy tofu before serving and heat. A bright green vegetable and pasta or rice rounds out the meal. For nonvegetarians, chicken breast or a white fish like flounder goes well.

Spicy Island Carrots
Preparation/Cooking time: 20 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

1 pound baby carrots, sliced or unsliced, or regular carrots, sliced

2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1. In a medium nonstick saucepan, add the carrots and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until the carrots are tender but still firm. Drain the carrots and transfer to a bowl.

2. Dry the saucepan and coat with nonstick spray. Add the brown sugar, hot pepper sauce, lemon juice, cumin, garlic, and chili powder.

3. Cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sugar bubbles and the spices are fragrant. Add the carrots. Toss or stir to coat the carrots with the sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

You can add lots of vegetables to this dish, but keep them small. Try diced celery, peas, chopped parsley, or chives. You can even add diced cooked poultry, ham, or beef if you want to use it as an entree with meat.

To: Conservababe; .38sw

.38sw is right, there's .22 snake shot for .22lr, but I wouldn't recommend trying to use it in anything larger than a Ruger light target pistol.
It won't cycle the action of a 10/22, but it does do a nice job on snakes.
Rats are somewhat tougher, so I and others do the dangerous and probably stupid action of 'notching' the tip of the 22 rounds.
(Dangerous because you need to hold the darn thing still while chopping an 'x' in the tip of the round. How does one hold such a thing still? Very carefully with cloth and pliers. Using your hand is worse, you might slip an dcut yourself. .22 lightnings work well in this role but downrange accuracy suffers.)
