Is it sometimes called "pea shot"?

I dunno. Swervie could probably tell you. I see he gave you a link to Cheaper Than Dirt. They carry those shells.

You are so lucky hon.. Ours is not looking good for days yet. The rain has broken all my big beautiful, heavy Geranium blossoms.. I could just cry as they were so full and pretty.. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I am so sorry to hear that. I really don't care for extended rainy weather, and I don't like what it does to gardens. Our tomatoes are starting to really ripen now that we've had hot weather, and I'm having to give away cucumbers, zucchini and tomatoes. I've got some newly planted day lilies that seem to like the heat, too. They're really growing and blooming.

You know, when I go upstate and stay at my dad's place out in the country and hear neighbors blasting away at whatever they're blasting - it sounds like liberty and freedom to me.

An armed society, is a polite society.

Send your rain to CenTex: we're in the summer BAKE mode.

Cheers up there, Garn.

We've had a really weird summer so far. The nights have not warmed up at all. It's not easy keeping the pool warm because of that. Well with the outlook now, we have just turned it down.. We're lucky if it reaches over 70 during the day lately.

We've only had two days I think that even came close to 90.

Wish I had all those veggies.. I have lots of tomatoes in but that's all this year.. (just as well I guess);)

I can't wait till my tomatoes ripen. I want to eat the first one bent over the kitchen sink with a salt shaker in my hand and juice dripping down my elbows.

"In Sacramento where I lived for several years, you could kiss the rain goodbye in May and look for it to return in October"

Yeah, but if you want anything to grow, you have to water it all the time. It was that way in Colorado. Even though we got showers sometimes in the summer, they were seldom enough to give the lawns and flowers the moisture they needed. Water bills could get pretty high. I like it better when God does most of the watering.

"I just got back from the grocery store and the little twit is still trying to get in that feeder"

They are persistent little devils. I like the squirrels okay, but I like the birds too, and it really annoys me when the squirrels interfere with the birds.

"You would mention that. I went into the garage last night and surprised a damned rat. There is gonna be hell to pay with the yankee neighbors when I shoot it."

Wouldn't be a missing wharfratt, would it?

"Sis just mentioned that all I have to do is give an 'evil laugh' at woodchucks and they take off for greener pastures.. She feels that may work for rats as well."

Or they might think it's a mating call, then you'd really be in trouble, cornered in Swervie's garage with who knows how many RATs wanting a piece of you....and Swervie standing in the doorway laughing and taking pictures to blackmail you with.

Drat! Now I see why I couldn't post to him before. He's been gone so long I forgot about the second "f".

"They are tiny shotgun shells for pistols."

Too bad it's illegal to use them on the 2-legged variety. Just imagine the fun we could have...especially on election day when they're busing the paid RATs around from poll to poll. *Sigh* I can dream, can't I?

That's just gross! Okay, so my whole family thought I was weird because I hate raw tomoatoes....one of the few foods I simply will not eat. I've tried...I really have. They're just nasty to me, and I hate the texture. I like tomato sauces and juice and flavoring though.
