When the house was built the powers that be didn't think one was needed there...The wife complained, so I put one in and it lasted till a few weeks ago.....

We have one hardware store in town, if they don't have what one is looking for, it ain't available...We'll get a light up there, it will just take a little time...The daughter and SIL have a home and one kid still at home to take care of too, can't spend all their time over here....

.....Westy....

Good grief Westy.. you probably won't find a new one that will last that long, and I doubt that you're worrying about it.

I'll never forget that Al's parents house had light bulbs still working from the time they bought the house. Late 1930's maybe? I swear I replace mine every other week.

I've switched over most of mine to those compact fluoresents...They seem to last much longer than plain old light bulbs.....

LOL!

Well, I got moved. Maybe I should say that at least all my stuff is in one place. I have an absolute mess, but as you can see, the most important detail is taken care of. Nermal seems to be impressed with his new digs, but he didn't think much of the ride in the truck.

Hiya Gran -- hope you're feeling well now.
I am way tired... worked 13 hours on a movie last night. It was fun and I met some cool people, but I'm wiped out now.

It's a great feeling to be done with the move, though - even if you have a lot of unpacking and decorating to do. I HATE moving!
Yoda loves car rides - Saki hates them. Yoda can just lie on a seat or a lap and has to be coaxed to get out of the car, but Saki must be in a kennel and she yowls all the way.

It is a real relief to have all my stuff in one place again....well, except for my king-sized down pillow that I left at the hotel last week. Fortunately, I will be back there Monday and they are taking care of it for me.

I hate moving, too. It is SO stressful, even under the best of circumstances. I hope I don't have to do it again for a very long time! I'm glad Nermal is handling it okay. I was a little worried about him. He's sitting here fussing at me....which means he's pretty much back to normal already. It took him a lot longer the last time.

Coffins shaped like a fish, a giant onion and a Mercedes have gone on display in Berlin in an exhibition on sepulchral culture aimed at reminding Germans they can go out in style. The exhibition opened in Berlin on July 1, 2004 and features chic black-lacquered and gold encrusted caskets by German and Italian designers alongside novelty shaped coffins created by the African artist Kane Kwei.
