"I could stretch out on that grass right now and snooze for hours." Yes. That is definitely a yard I can work with....and be lazy in, if I ever get time to be lazy, that is.

"Don't go in the basement..." There is no basement. I figured you could come dig me a storm cellar though, since you have experience with basements and cellars and such.

Aww catpuppy. Poor bear just wanted a little change in his diet. I don't expect he's the only one around, just the only one anybody noticed strolling around town.

A perfect time to cull your stuff...even better than having a garage sale. LOL
To: Conservababe
Well, actually, I have already lost too much stuff in previous moves. I was actually just starting to get some of it back together again. Long story. But still a real pain any way you look at it. I just want it to be over. It is tough with no one to help.

Always love a double sink, in apartments one does not always have that benifit.
I went to home depot and got all the things I needed to put in a new counter and double sink.
I have a kitchen space of 5x7 which it really 3x5 after fixtures and stackable washer and dryer.
The building (1928) I live in was originally built for professional use, that is why the pullman kitchen.
This was for music teachers or profeesional artist.
It ie called Sherman Square Studio after Gen.William Tecumseh Sherman !:) he own a lot of the property in the area.

"I guess it is a yankee thing!" No doubt about that. Anything with that name around here would be DOA....if not burned to the ground.

Maybe being from Michigan the main focus was America and the study of the Civil War somethings that was unfortunate.
I can say duing the automotive days their was a great migration from the south. So Michigan is a blend of many southern states, as well as an immagration of Europeans settlers mainly German and Irish.

To the Citizens of Atlanta: General Sherman instructs me to say to you that you must all leave Atlanta; that as many of you as want to go North can do so, and that as many as want to go South can do so, and that all can take with them their movable property, servants included, if they want to go, but that no force is to be used; and that he will furnish transportation for persons and property as far as Rough and Ready, from whence it is expected General Hood will assist in carrying it on. Like transportation will be furnished for people and property going North, and it is required that all things contemplated by this notice will be carried into execution as soon as possible. How fast could you pack if you received this order?
To: Conservababe

As one says by the grace of God we are born where we are born!
What Lincoln said "A House Divide Can't Stand" is ture!
I suspect this war was created outside of the USA by those who wanted to undermind this Great Nation!
There is so much involved here and sadly even today it seems it is not clearly understood.
One thing is clear the residue is that the Eastern Establishment looks down on All the rest of America!
Something to ponder not all the folks who lived in the East are part of the EE they are just folks making a living and feel the contempt of the EE as though they were from flyover country!

Exactly correct, Resty. Wars are fought for profit; just connect the dots and always follow the money-trail.

... the bear, estimated to be approximately 1 year old and weighing about 50 pounds, three times with a rifle shooting tranquilizer darts and still could not get it tranquilized.Bear? That wasn't a bear. No wonder they couldn't get it tranquilized. It was a furball. Be on the lookout for a large cat.
