Val, I loved that movie. Yes, I can see you as Diane Keaton. She looked great, didn't she?
Why would you want to hang yourself for identifying with that character? I thought she had good sense, class, knew what she wanted and was out with a great looking doctor. ROFLMBO.
ROFLMBO. I love it. I'd try it but when I got out of Gitmo, or whatever it is...
Oh Gawd, in that case, you, of course, extend your right hand and give him a brief, firm shake. One shake and reclaim your hand promptly. :)
If they are crass enough to be seated before you, take your seat promptly. (then sneak mail them a book about manners)
A man is supposed to remain standing until you are seated. If he is 80 and on oxygen, be merciful and seat promptly, if not, take your time and enjoy. :) (within reason)
Have a wonderful Thursday Westy!
I love that for Val.
Remember protocol Val, and don't fidget. ROFLOL.
Love you guys dearly.
Bess is screaming. I've got to go, goodnight. :)
I told you ah needed a refresher course, and I appreciate it, Ringy.
Yes, I will give you a full report of my first corporate social function.
Thank goodness, I don't have to entertain them at home. I could, but I would prefer not to have that anxiety now. I am beginning to think I will enjoy this, really.
Really???
Why?? .. we shake hands all the time up here
Well, I guess the only parts of her character I really identified with were the going out with a younger man part and the bawling her eyes out for days part.
The success and wealth and slimness and fame ... those parts I don't identify with. *L*
Good night Ringy, pup and Westy and all the others who are trying to go to sleep now.
Jess would love it too .. I can just see the too of you together. She is getting into the whole cloths thing now .. oh and the nail polish too ..
Sweet Dreams Ringy
Ahh .. you can relate huh?
I hate wearing shoes .. I only wear them when I go to the store or some place like that.
Here is another one of Carly from yesterday. ... LOOK NULLY, she's smiling
When I get well Mo, when I get well, the times we are going to have. :)
One of the best things my Mother did for me, was to place a copy of Amy Vanderbilts' book of etiquette (sp) in my hand, when I was a young girl. I still have it. It's almost like the best guide a person can have. ANY woman needs it. The younger, the better. She'll always know what to do in every situation, for the rest of her life. There won't be a dinner party she can't give, or a party she won't know how to dress for. It's the best and just has long lasting values in it. Class is just a set of values, really, and simply knowing what to do, when.
I still refer to mine, from time to time, because I forget little things. :)
Freep me your address and I'll send a copy to your Jess, with your and her approval. :)
Well, the whole handshaking started when MEN greeted each other. It symbolized that their right hand was extended in friendship and not on their sword, to be drawn.
Women did not need this assurance. You have so much to learn in the Ya Ya Sisterhood. LOL
Now, I really am gone before Bess kills me. :) We'll talk more tomorrow. :) I hope.
*L* .. apparently I do
Up hear it's just a friendly greeting when being introduce to a person.
We don't do it all the time .. just is certain circumstances ...
Actually my older sister is the more proper one, when I came along, I think I was a shock to my mother .. LOL
Honey was all sweet and cute and I was alway climbing the trees in the yard.
Jess tried tellimg me she was a tomboy the other day, which I chuckled at, because she is a far cry from a tomboy
You rest up Ringy and take good care of yourself
I love that she is so cute and smilling.
I like shakiing hands with people it gives you a little idea of how real they are!
Well, bless your heart...but what can you tell from a handshake?
You may be surprise .. but you can learn alot about a person by their hand shake
