Wow.. that early Mo. Where in Mass, do you know?
Al's mother's family goes back to the Mayflower era. She was related to Gov. Bradford's second wife.. I think her name was Caroline. Al's mother worked on this for years, and we saved all of it. She was originally from Fall River, lived right near Lizzie Borden, and her father was the Sherrif in FR, and the first one in town to own a motorcycle. We have lots of pics of him on it. I'm trying to remember if it was an old Indian make.
His sister put her whole genealogy into a book, but is still working on it. It's really great. Jessie loves reading it. Al is also, thru his mother, related to the Delano's and the Bush's. Jessie was very thrilled to hear that.. lol.
His father on the other hand was harder to do, as there was an adoption somewhere way back relating to the Duc De Nevers. Somehow his relatives got tangled up with the Micmac tribe up here in NH, so he was very hard to find much on.
I, on the other hand, am not connected to anything..which is probably just as well..;)
Should anyone doubt our society is doomed.
That is scary
Not sure where .. I forgot to ask that
She mentioned that some great great great whatever aunt was in the Daughters of the Revolution
And that an Uncle was one of the first killed in some battle in the Civil War
I need to get the info from her to be sure on what she said ..
In my family we have a habit of jumping from one topic to another when we talk .. and as I am getting older I'm having a hard time keeping up with it *L*
You know.. some people just don't have enough to do.. I saw that on the link.. ROFLMAO.. what have we all become?
"In my family we have a habit of jumping from one topic to another when we talk ."
Oh can I relate to that. And do they all talk at once, and loudly? lol
Sounds like you have some really interesting stuff there, Mo.. I find it very interesting to find out all that stuff.. I wish I knew how to get a handle on it. I checked out Resty's links and they made no sense to me at all. I couldn't even find my fathers marriage or death. I give up. :(
What the photo doesn't show is the cutouts in the rear for the model's delish bootay!
LOL...where did it show that? Did I miss something?
YEP .. and if one didn't know my family .. they would think we didn't like each other because we talk so loud .. LOL
My mother use to tell us when we were little that my dad's side come over on the Mayflower and that they were Quakers
I didn't pay to much attention because Mom had a habit of telling stories but never getting into the details
We could never find anything that said anything about the Mayflower .. but we were able to find out the Quarker part of the story was true
And then my sister rec'd info that my dad's sister researched and it has info back to 1680
Mo..it might be an East Coast thing.. or New England. When I lived in Calif..the east coasters were the only ones who called their kids, and not just go look for them.. They were the only ones who talked loud, all at once, and laughed loud enough to wake the dead. We are not southern and gentile. ;)
Sounds like you have a good hunk of stuff to delve into. That would be so much fun. My SIL was doing my fathers family, but never gave me or my sister any info that she found out. My brother never provided it to us on her death either. It's just the way those arseholes are.
Sooo.. I really don't know where to start on mine. All my living links have passed and being the youngest, never paid too much attention to things. I guess I assumed that my sister was going to live forever like me.. lol.
Not sure which it is
Growing up .. When ever you wanted the kids home you'd just yell their names out the back door .. and you BEST be in hearing distance, cause if you didn't hear and come home you were in big trouble .. LOL
But when I moved up to where I'm at now .. they don't do that sort of thing .. and of course look at me funny when I do it :0)
Oh I meant to say Genteel.. but I know what you mean Mo..
People have changed. Years ago the neighborhood would hear you call your kids and pass it on. Today, everyone stays separate and alone.
There isn't any neighborhood anymore in most places. What a shame.. and they can get away with so much more now, because they know their parent's friends/neighbors aren't watching them too.
Al just put a movie in.. BBL.. ;)
Yep .. we were to afraid of getting caught
Well gotta go take the girls to a birthday party .. BBL
Yes.
That's OK, as long as you realize I'm trying to figure out how to make that happen...
