We have a good friend, a retired teacher, who had spent the last several years going to Mexico and documenting all the missions with pictures of the remains and locations and history. It has been an amazing project and when he has it all finished he is going to donate it to the Mexican Govt. Some of the missions are wonderful to see, others are just the remains of a wall..but he will have them all accounted for one of these days.

retirement age is 65. However, you can retire earlier if you want to take a lesser pension. I don't know how you get much lesser but there you have it. Best to be a refugee.

I love to travel by trains. I especially love the Crescent one that travels from Chigico to New Orleans. I used to travel from up here in Yankee country to home once every six months before my Mother died.

There is nothing like the first breakfast call annoucing that Bloody Marys and bacon and eggs were being served. LOL

I always imagined that with the sway of the train as I was drifting off the sleep, that I was Natalie Wood in "This train doesn't stop here anymore".

Tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of Ezequiel Hernandez's murder by US Marines at Redford,TX. Let's not forget a kid killed by our military in peace time ....

There is a lot on Google about the "incident"...just do a search on his name.....

And because I have done so, I am going to ask you whether you consider yourself as an Amcerican citizen or an expat to Mexico, or both.

No helmet, just a ball type cap...The biggest difficulty was getting over the damn speed bumps that go across the whole street...We don't have sidewalks everywhere up here...I had tried it out yesterday to see if it would make it up my driveway, which is a small hill...It did....
