What is it with this banning frenzy. Some I can understand, but others completely escape me. I guess none of us are safe.

Yes I did Westy.. My son and his children came over and they are so grown and so nice. I was thrilled to see them. I didn't get to see them too much last summer, as they are getting into their own things, donchano. Rachel is in the 10th grade and Derik is in the 11th and driving. I do worry about that.
My granddaughter Rachel said she'd come have a slumber party with me when Al goes to his 50th reunion this June. I hope so, she is a doll. Will invite Jessie and have a girlie bash..lol.
Oh and I got some beautiful Pink and Yellow Roses..about two dozen along with the beautiful bouquet I got the other day..
And lobster for supper.. yeahhhh.. it was/is nice.. ;)

Yes it is a real shame to see older home neglected and deteriorating becacuse nobody seem to care about them. and if they happen to be in areas that have gone to pot "In more ways than one) then it is a double travesty.
We should not be so quick to abandon our country's past.

Election year.
And some long time troublemakers, or stirrers, aren't above goading people into a fight and then calling the mods onto those they attacked.
However, some people are just too darn thin skinned on some things and hit the abuse button over the dumbest stuff.
I have NO idea what is with the frenzy, but sometimes the obvious reason has been 'deleted by admin mod'.

Whereabouts in Tennesssee, Pip? My daddy's family are from Somerset, Kentucky, not too far from the Tennessee border...about a half hour north of Knoxville, I believe. I have wonderful memories of my grandparents farm there. That old house never did have indoor plumbing right up till Grandma died and Grandpa moved into a trailer behind my Aunt's house. The klds did have a pump put in the kitchen sink though, that was there for the last few years of their lives.

While I was lurking on this thread to catch up I saw Sundaycake post several times, I didn't see anything that would have gotten him/her banned.
So I don;t know why SC was banned.

Not sure what's going on.
Trying to track down the buzz on it.
I suspect that others will know what happened before I do, though.

Oh, then that's not too far from where my daddy grew up and where my grandparents lived. Did you ever go to Cumberland Lake?

Probably.
Guess I'll have to keep my humor in check on other threads, some are way too easily offended by stuff that's funny.

I think that's sad because in the days we're living now, we need humor.

Yeah.
Ran into some humorless types on another thread a couple days or more ago.
If they'd had their way, no-one would be allowed to laugh as laughing is irrelevant to the subject at hand blah blah blah..

It's a big lake in southern Kentucky. We went there a lot. On the map it runs across the northern part of Wayne County and into Pulaski county. I seem to remember Loddy saying he'd spent some time there, too.

We might have seen it in traveling to where my aunt was living at in Kentucky back when I was growing up.

Then I would not be too popular on those thread with those humorless types as I don't believe in being series all the time. But I do know when to be series.

I'm not too popular outside of threads similar to our little home in the corner here on FR.
