So I'm told.
Though I'm sure it can be a good thing sometimes.

Guys, we did a bit over 500 miles of road work today to see my father and his sis from California, and I am hammered.

Thanks to all for the wonderful pictures, stories, and links that you threw up today.

Tomorrow, I hope.

Rest well.

Well, DH and I did it today. We brought home our 'rig'. Pictures tomorrow. LOL

My DH has never towed anything in his life except a very small U-Haul trailer. Westy, the man is the son of tenant farmers. In fact, his father could not read nor write, ever. But, somehow he escaped having to tow anything behind a tractor on the highway. And he is anxious of this. He did a perfect back-up to the hitch at the dealers and handled it all the trip back home.

But, when we get home, it gets interesting. I jump out of the truck and tell him that I will 'spot' him into the site we have chosen in our yard to put it. Our conversation goes...

DH...what is a spot?...Me...I will guide you with hand signals. DH...okay. Me....I motion to back up. He does. Me...I motion to stop. He does. Me...I motion to cut the wheel to the left. DH stops and gets out of the truck and asks me....why in the hell are you making a motion of cutting your throat and pointing? I think we need walkie talkies. LOL

But, all in all, it went well.

Congrats....Yes a couple of hand helded CB's may make it easier at first...I've seen old timer trailer pullers get the job done with just a few hand motions...

My daughter was over today so I asked what brand their pop up was..It's a Jayco too...A small one though....

Oh, this is a small Jayco, also...ten foot. Amazing how much it grows with the hitch. LOL

I hope you had a nice visit with your daughter, Westy.

Well, goodness gracious, let her clean. Let her shop for groceries, too, if she includes that mexican thingie that you like for a snack before bedtime. And do let her take you to your doc appointments. LOL

But, do not let her know of your finances. I speak from experience, here, Weaty.

She already knows quite a bit about them...I have a good share of my 'fortune' in a trust with her as beneficiary...If she wants to knock me off to get at it, it's okay by me....Won't have a worry in the world then..LOL

Yeah, we just don't agree on a whole lot of things...We got to talking some today on camping when she was little...There was one place we use to go that the kids thought we were going to fall off the road...She took hers up there and said they were praying in the back seat.....Can laugh about it now....

So, you daughter has a Jayco pop-up camper. I wonder why she got the idea to camp and especially to take her kids over the same road as you traveled.

Perhaps you did what I did. I taught my children to camp and now I shall have to teach my grandkids. You are the lucky one in that your daughter likes to camp and mine does not. LOL

Fabulous Victorian houses! I think I like the yellow one best - but it's tough to choose.
