Well, you're right Paul, something is NQR. I can't get to the FR homepage, even if I type "www.freerepublic.com". Instead, I'm taken to front page news. Usually I start at the home page and click on latest posts. I'm at work, spousal unit is at home with the same problem, and he keeps posting under my name because he can't figure out how to log me out and him in without the home page. I'll keep looking, maybe there's another thread explaining this.

Did you ever get a satisfactory answer to your question? The FR Homepage is supposed to be my homepage, but I'm now landing on the "Front Page News" topic page even though http://www.freerepublic.com/ is the url. Weird!
