I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian -- don't believe in killing animals for food, when I don't need to do so to survive and thrive.
I'm pro the Iraq war, pro unfettered 2nd Amendment rights, pro-choice, and pro-freedom (and militantly anti-socialism, since it's the antithesis of freedom).

Let's face it. People are *MEANT* to eat meat. It says so in the Bible, and there's a reason why it *TASTES* so good. There exists the occasional *CONSERVATIVE* vegetarian, but they are few in number because people who are *SMART* enough to vote conservative are rarely *DUMB* enough to avoid eating the animals which *GOD* gave us to eat!

Vegatarian - a very old American Indian word for lousy hunter.
But seriously, there are many reason given for being one of the many forms of 'vegatrianism.'
Some are religious or psuedo-religious. Harming another living thing and such as this.
Some are health reasons. Some of these are based on facts. Most are based on fantasy.
Some reason are political. (see PETA and such groups)
In my personal perspective vegatarianism is unhealthful and quickly becomes a psychological crutch. Even the most carefully constructed veggie diet under the best of condidtions will not supply essential nutrients to the human body. Supplementation is needed to make up for this short-coming.
Having said that I will admit that prior to going on the ATKINS plan, I ate very ltttle red meat. I also maintained my cholesterol under 200. Since going on ATKINS, my cholesterol has dropped to 156 and my good cholesterol has increased and bad cholesterol has dropped.
All statements are purely my own opinion.

I quit eating meat and fowl in 1991. For awhile, I didn't eat fish, but finally started eating shark. I figured that he would eat me, so screw 'em. I eat fish a few times a week and justify it because they spend all day eating each other anyway.
Pro gun, pro Iraq war, pro death penalty.
