but I'm sitting in my office in the high Andes of Chile right now

Mmmm, nice country. Would love to buy a house down around Vina del Mar. Was glancing through some real estate ads, and saw 3 bedroom houses a few miles north of there with pools and views of the Pacific for 250-300,000 US$. Wow, California weather without Cali prices. Yet.

We were fortunate enough to escape Santiago after living there a year...we now live about 6-hours north in a pretty coastal city. Very laid back, but a little too much fog for me. I'm lucky, I escape the fog up here where I am.

Chile is a nice country, and I can say that after working in Peru, Africa, and Argentina. It is the best of the lot.

Oh, and just to keep on topic...I ended up working overseas because the job market for which I have a BS degree, dried up and it was either do something else, at 50-years old, or sit around and write silly posts to FR complaining about how much I deserve a job.

Regards
