I just sent that soldier ( captain, actually ) a big CARE package for him and his troops. I am awaiting an email from him when it arrives and I will also see what else I can get out of him about his 'good news'.

Good for you for taking on the task of collecting signatures.
Spring is in Iowa. I gardened all afternoon. 7 hours! I got 4 big (!!) flower beds cleared off and hubby helped me load the gunk up and haul it away. My hands are a mess and very sore. Tomorrow I will spend the day picking splinters out of my hands.

Did you see the report on PrimeTime on the Veterans Administration and the handling of the Vet patients at their hospitals? It was appalling! Most of the report was done on a hospital in TX, which made me think it was Bush-bashing. I still think the Vet admin. needs to clean house regardless of who is president. I live in KC,MO and remember the story about the flies laying eggs in the noses of comotose patients.
