Hilarious, this was a good episode; lighten up. I loved the Passion, but it is in line with their typical stuff.

The Road Warrior chasing the bus was very funny, but I found a lot of this episode very lame.
Did you see Alan Alda? They haven't thrown him in for a long time. I love when they put some celebrity in like that....sometimes it is JFK or Tony Danza...always funny.
TTis one was not one of the best. It had minimal laughs for me.

Not one of the better
South Park episodes. Thumbs down.
The Kyle storyline was OK, but the rest was lame, particularly the Cartman-Nazi storyline which was rather predictable and unoriginal.
To: CounterCounterCulture
It wasn't even in the South Park style. The entire episode seemed off.

Hate to disagree with you. It's one of the best I've seen. Not quite as good as "Proper Condom Use", but still good.

Their warning, that it should not be viewed by anyone, still applies!
If you can't keep to the terms of that agreement.... then screw you guys, I am goin' home.
Good night!

Hate to disagree with you.
Then don't ;-p
I know the problem...needed more BUTTERS!!!
I know the poor kid had a ninja star in his eye from two weeks ago, but if Kenny can come back after dying...
To: CounterCounterCulture
Butters is weak..... needs more Tweak..... Now ~Tweak~ watching The Passion would be funny....
"Dudes.... this is ~way~ too much pressure!

I hated the way they pulverized Mel Gibson--so unnecessary....and I usually love what they do but most of this episode could have been alot better. Started well, finished crummy.

Agreed. There was no reason to treat Gibson that way. The only thing that MIGHT have been funny about it is that it might have been making fun of those who are calling Gibson a kook for even making this movie.
I actually found this episode offensive - and it would be only one of two that I could say that about, I'm not offended easily and love SP humor (even "red rocket").

Sub-par episode last night. I didn't find any of it particularly offending, it just wasn't very funny. Cartman doing the Hitler bit was a re-hash, and overall it didn't really work. Oh well, there's always next week!
To: MrB
This is probably the first time that a South Park episode was completely lost on me. I thought it was funny that Stan and Kenny went to Mel Gibson to get their money back, but I'm totally baffled on why they made Gibson into a total nut case. Heck, Riggs wasn't even that crazy in Lethal Weapon!
This could have been a really creative episode. Matt and Trey really blew this one.

There is never enough Timmy. Actually all of my South Park favorites revolve around Chef. When they involve Chef usually it is one of their best ones. My favorite 2 subtle digs they have had in either the movie or the TV show would have to be when they show all the ultra hollyweird liberals in hell on the movie. Especially with JFK Jr's photo upside down at the top of the screen. That is the best subtle humor episode. Any episode where they portray Saddam as being the gay lover of Satan kills me too.

The ref to "baseketball" cracked me up though.

I'm afraid after viewing last night's episode I will never be able to look at Mel Gibson the same way again. They really ripped on him.
To: MrB
That one even cracked my wife up, and she's not a huge SP fan. Not that I admit it regularly, but I did like "Baseketball." Don't ask me why though...

Humor has to have some basis in truth, or it doesn't work. The whole "Mel Gibson is crazy" thing just wasn't funny--because there's no truth to it.
