Your caution may be well advised. Still it is a bit strange.
Perhaps he misread Larry Niven's attack style of the Warrior Race (the Kzinti) -- "...you scream, and you leap."
Mr. Boyle seems to believe "...you scream, and you leave."
Maybe he just wants to say it, and doesn't care to hear our critiques.
