Nermal is 16. I hate that he is getting so old because I know he won't last forever. Still, I am thankful that he is living to be old. He is still in relatively good health although he doesn't have many teeth left.

ROTFLOL!! That cartoon is great! And soooooo on the mark!! Maybe for you, radu, it's on the mark. To me that guy is a miracle worker. Around these parts we use the term, "herding cats" as a metaphor for 'impossible'. LOL!

Where did you say you live...could you come up and dose my big baby cat? "Amoxicillin is a treat"; what are you raising out there? They must be boys...my girls, the lovingest pets in the world, turn into 80-armed octopi with claws when it comes to Rx.

Oh no, so sorry to hear that. Tell Podrageous he'd better be nice and get you another baby to tend to.

'Pod, dixie says you have to get me a kitten. ;~)
(don't worry, I'm not into it right now)

Well, it doesn't work; I'm wearing amoxycillin.Heh...I know the feeling. One of my kitties had surgery this week (removed a lump, which it appears is probably mammary cancer...I'm trying not to get too upset until more is known) and I've work amoxycillin a couple days this week. Worst of all, she's starting to avoid me. *sigh* And it's especially hard since she has a fresh incision and is sore and I don't want to pin her down or anything.
What's worked best is the old "wrap 'em in a towel" trick, though she still jerks her head aside.

If you wear something pink while giving the medicine, it helps!Hm...color coordinating? I hadn't thought of that.
I don't own anything pink...next time a cat gets sick (heaven forbid!), I might have to pick up a few new outfits... ;-)

That does work well also. I hope that it was just a benign lump.

I had a pink sweat shirt that I wore. The vet taught me how to give the medications and Momma and I worked as a team.

Best to your recuperating kitty. I guess I don't know how to use the towel because they get out of it before I get them in it. It's like trying to stop a fan with your tongue.
I'll be praying for your baby. Best of luck.

Neither Amoxycillin nor Pepto Bismol would show if I wore pink, but I don't own any pink clothing until I use Amoxycillin.
Today I went over to the vet's and got only sympathy. It was then that I decided to make a cat backboard, and just strap the feisty feline down. Maybe next time.
