Betty! I'd just been wondering where you've been.

I thought maybe you were down in Orlando saving your front row seat for Dubya's first campaign event on Saturday! I bet the turnout will be enormous.

Bush has a new ad up in S. Carolina criticizing Kerry's vote against the $87 billion Iraq authorization bill.

This morning's WashPost quotes the French-looking senator's response:

Mr. Kerry added, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it," referring to an amendment he supported that would have rescinded some tax cuts to finance the war.
Well that ought to take care of that pesky "flip-flop" image. LOL!

I didn't realize I've been gone for so long. Lots of catching up to do!

My friends and I are going to cheer for W this Saturday! I'm so excited!!!

They're expecting 12 to 15,000 so we will get there very early. :-)

How does Kerry get that crap out of his mouth without bursting into laughter? Oh yeah, twenty years of practice.

Hi BWB -- a slushy St. Patrick's Day here in New York -- one of the reasons I'm heading to Miami tomorrow night for a long weekend. Love to chat longer with you, but have to go rummage through the closet for the green tie. Cheers.

I just noticed the WashPost's lead-in to that Kerry quote:
But the Democrat -- whom Bush has criticized for taking both sides of difficult issues -- offered a less-than-crisp statement defending the nuances of his position.

"I actually did vote for his $87 billion, before I voted against it"...

Ha! Even the partisan media is finding it difficult to cover for him.

I'm so grateful for your memory, this post from the last thread is right on spot! I hope you've alerted BotW.

I saw Biden yacking the other day but had ignored him. I'll keep an eye closer on him and hillary.

Have you noticed that Chris Matthews is completely in love with Kerry? It seems as though his ambivalence toward GWB has turned into visceral hatred.

Matthews longs for the JFK days and thought Kerry would take us back to those times. Then as time passed and Chris saw what an ass Kerry really is, it's crushed his hopes of another Camelot and he's taking it out on GWB.

Hey speedy, if you're near Orlando on Saturday come on down to the Bush rally at the Convention Center.

Have y'all seen this new surveillance tape NBC uncovered? It's from the fall of 2000, taken from a Predator aircraft, and shows bin Laden right in the crosshairs as he met with trainees at an Afghan training camp. NBC, and now other networks, include in their reports that no action was taken against OBL.

But I was really struck by TWO reports I've seen this morning on CNN. In both cases, the words "Clinton administration" were never uttered. Instead, BOTH reporters kept saying "they" didn't follow up and "the U.S." didn't authorize an attack against OBL..."they" now admit "they" missed a golden opportunity. And then a seamless transition to: "they" say it's a mistake that won't be repeated now.

Two different reporters deliberately misleading an uninformed viewer to draw the conclusion that Bush's team missed the chance and "won't make the same mistake again".

I hate MediaCrats!

Saw it last night and called up HLL quick and we watched in disbelief. There's going to be a part 2 and 3 on Olberman's show today and tomorrow.

BOTH reporters kept saying "they" didn't follow up and "the U.S." didn't authorize an attack against OBL...

Shaking my head with a disgusted look on my face!

The book 'Losing bin Laden has some specific information on that period of time, when I get a chance today I'll look it up and post it.

Yes, the more I see Biden pop up to defend Kerry and detail how unpopular Bush is with world leaders the more I'm convinced he's the conduit. I don't think the White House (or attendees at Kerry events) will let this one drop.

Oh, and don't forget to tune in at 12:30 EST today when Cheney will speak at the Reagan Library. Reports are that he's going to take Kerry apart...vote by vote!

This may be the way to sink Kerry the fastest:

...the French are going wild for John Kerry.

His face graces the covers of magazines and newspapers on Paris newsstands. He’s the subject of radio phone-in and television talk shows. Journalists chase down distant relatives and long-forgotten acquaintances in search of anecdotes. If November’s presidential election were being held here, there’s no doubt that Mr. Kerry, the Massachusetts senator and Democratic candidate, would win by a landslide.

“People are going crazy. My phone is ringing from morning to night because everybody wants to know about Kerry,” said the head of the France chapter of Democrats Abroad, Constance Borde. “I’m even getting calls from French people asking if they can contribute to the campaign, and of course I have to tell them no.This is something I’ve never seen happening.”

“He is very much admired in France,” said a municipal office worker, Patrick Forestier, as he strolled with his lunch through the Latin Quarter. “It seems like he will be more sympathetic to Europe… .And of course anyone who is opposed to Bush will be popular with us.”

“He is the closest thing that you will have to a French politician, with a certain diplomacy, a certain elegance,” she said.“He is more like a leader would be in Europe,” Mr. Parmentier said. Asked in what way, he laughed and replied: “Well, he doesn’t look Texan.” Oh so much more
