Huh... Mysterious Island wasn't nearly as good as 2000 Leagues Under the Sea.

I disagree...I found all the stuff about making things from what was on the island fascinating...as well as the whole mystery. I like 'em both...but Mysterious Island is awfully good.

Journey to the Center of the Earth may be my favorite, though. Didn't care as much for Around the World for some reason. It's been awhile since I read it, though. Maybe I'll go on a Verne binge for awhile.

Really? Around the World is one my mom read aloud to us. I remember listening to her describe all the fabulous places.... I thought it was hilarious. Haven't read it in a while and I'm wondering if it may have been a very dry satire. Phineas Fogg and his servant (can't spell the name) were really almost cariactures...
