There are a number of Marvel groups besides X-Men with female members, as well as a number of solo heroines. And then there's DC as well. Gotta be some more cool superheroines out there for ya :)

The concept of the X-Men allows for literally millions of potential members. And that history of Kitty's doesn't mention everything. For example, her father got mixed up with the Japanese yakuza, which is part of the reason why she was went to Japan. Wolverine went because his wife was a yakuza leader. The yakuza play a big role in the X-Men's history.

The history of Storm, now ... that's several pages long to get to the high points!
