hehehe... Bobby's out front now. I can go for that. :-)
Okay, okay, just because of a short pit... but, I'll take that for now. Hope it works for him.

*Sigh* It was depressing in a way....DE, Davey Allison, and Alan Kulwicki were in it.
I was watching another video last night. A Cubs game from 1992 was at the end of it.....they got their butts kicked 8 to 1 but at least the infield was cute.

*Sigh* It was depressing in a way....DE, Davey Allison, and Alan Kulwicki were in it. Oh man. That one is one you must keep! I would like to see it. Someday when I come up there to moot we may have to watch that. And celebrate that they *were* there!
Know what I wish I had? The 1998 Daytona. I was driving through Daytona that day on my way to visit Tom, Jill and Abby. Abby had just been born. I had to at least drive around the track so I could hear it! Tom had promised to tape the race for me so when I got to their house in Palm Beach I could watch it. I didn't listen to the race on radio so I wouldn't know who won, but I ended up hearing on my HAM radio about an hour before I got to destination. However, I still delighted in watching that video and seeing Dale win!!! Unfortunately, they kept the tape and none of 'em know what happened to it. *sigh* Jill may have taped over it I guess. But, with I still had it!

I don't have the whole race...I taped over the first part. But I do have the Pepsi 500 from 1992....King Richard's last race at Daytona. His engine caught on fire: "That wasn't the 'blaze of glory' I had in mind."
To: Wneighbor
And another thing....I hate the way they cut the races down to 400 instead of 500. If ya can't sit through a 500 mile race, yer not a race fan.

Yep.
...and on Labor Day weekend they run the Coca Cola 600...same day as the Indy 500. There have been some drivers that have run the Indy 500 and then flown to Charlotte to run the 600.

Memorial Day.
Have you seen these?

I want one. But, I haven't broken down and bought one yet. Already have too many T-Shirts. LOL

No but then I haven't been shopping for T-shirts lately. I do have a DE computer mouse and mousepad and a model of #3 that my Dad made for me.
To: Overtaxed
I have trouble rootin' for rookies. Obviously they have some experience or they wouldn't be there. I just prefer veterans to be out front. LOL

Even if the veteran is Jeff Gordon?
To: Overtaxed
Oh, my. Wouldn't that get a little boring, driving around in a circle for hours? Or does the speed keep things interesting?

I've got one of those models! Dennis built it for me. He was an Earnhardt fan too. Things were a little more interesting watching races with Myranda's dad. He was a Darrell Waltrip fan and hated DE. We always had battles on race days. Was fun too.

Guess the speed would keep it interesting from the driver's point of view. I'm usually multitasking....barbecue doncha know!
To: Wneighbor
Darrell "Wall-hit?"
To: Overtaxed
Ok, I can see that. Although I'm not the sort of person who likes to have the tv on as company. Only race I watch is the Kentucky Derby, though, but that's over so fast I have no time to get bored.
'Sides, horses are pretty.
