The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

In the dreams, it is usually that the flying feels like swimming, and the breathing underwater is just like breathing air. Kinda cool actually.

How about having dreams that you can not only fly, but can also breathe underwater?I sometimes dream that I can sort of fly on the surface of the water, so I can be out in the ocean and stay above the sharks without getting eaten. Only dreamed I was under the water once that I can remember, but I don't remember if I was able to breathe underwater or not. I'd like to dream I could breathe underwater!--I love diving. I think my fear of sharks is what messes it up, though.

did you do what I suggested you do the other night? :-) Uuuhhhh... I dunno... did you suggest something involving the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and about fourteen quarts of mayonaise? It was the wierdest thing...
To: Ramius
Nope. That woulda been no suggestion of mine! You musta dreamed that plan up on your own....

I'm bailing now. Really.
To: Ramius
You are scaring me now. I didn't realize you wanted to come to Texas just to see the Dallas Cowboy's cheerleaders and raid the HEB of all their mayo!
Goodnight sweetheart. :-)
