The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Thanks everyone for the prayers regarding my ongoing insurance woes. It has all come to fruition. Elf-boy can have his wrist surgery and I can go to the doctor for prenatal visits again. If babygirl is born early, it's gonna be okay!

Anyone ever figure out why the security guy was called over? He just stood there next to us forever. Annoyed the heck out of me too. And he and the little cowboy seemed to have a problem. I think the 2 girls called him in to take the boy back to sit in his seat with them. But the kid said no, and then sat down very irately, and pouted. Stopped dancing. I think he was saying 'I ain't goin' back, and you can't make me'. lol Then finally the security left, and the kid started up dancing again. It really was weird.

ok, I just remembered another story. The squeeky toy of terror.

Nah, not particularly. I just have a purple PT Cruiser, Purple trim on my house, alot of purple possessions (jewelry, clothes, shoes) and all my family, friends, coworkers & customers know I love the color purple. Simple as that.

Simple as that.LOL! I was curious because when I was a kid I had a rationale behind liking purple: my favorite popsicle was grape and my favorite Flintstone's vitamin was the grape Dino one :)

LOL! I still like those things. And it is bad cuz I am rubbing off on my 5 year old. He thinks I am gonna want anything purple. So every occasion he has to get me a gift, he tells his Daddy it HAS to be purple.

Kid next to PQ tortured her with his squeeky toy all through the rodeo. We even had to move down a seat so she could get away from it. Then Marty Stuart came on and W goes over to the kid and I'm scared to death she's gonna, well, put it somewhere his parents might not find it right away. I don't know what she said to him but the squak stopped, didn't start again.
