Jen, that's not nice! :) You Evil Overlordess, you! :)
Have a good time! Will probably email you something about my new story idea while you're gone.
Moving Pictures is a pretty good album. Far from their best. Though I do like "La Villa Strangiato" -- I think it's on there. I'd consider them as "metal" as Zeppelin --hard rock anyway. Xanadu is IMHO their best song. You know it?
You sing? What's your section?
I haven't heard that one yet--there are some of their albums I haven't heard that I'd like to. I do know the Olivia Newton-John song of the same title :) What else do you listen to?
Well, he has purchased Quick-crete and is pouring it in the holes around the bases of his footers and dumping some down the holes in the cinderblocks themselves.
Quick-crete is great stuff. Holds real good. Will be lots of fun to dig up and try to fix when the frost heave gets to work on it. Heh heh heh.
Shared the weekend adventure with the engineer-types at work- even drew a diagram on my whiteboard. They were roaring with laughter. Even with mortar/Quick-crete, those footers need to be set below the frostline and the blocks require some additional reinforcement.
*DEVELOPING*
Can you get pictures? Or maybe video? You can start a whole web site of the rise-and-fall of Doughboy's shed. Be sure to take plenty of pictures when the inspectors show up.
Planning for that might be easier if you call the inspectors. Wait until Doughboy is almost done, so more of his efforts are wasted.
Heh heh- yes we're taking pictures, but I've been too beat to upload them. And yes, the timing of the call to county will be the most opportune.
I'm not sure. It's the Geology picture of the week.
Did you see the Flat Frodo pics we took in Yellowstone?
Oh yes, very cool shots you had.
And the commissary was an interesting experience this evening. Most shockingly, they dusted the shelves and actually stocked them. They've painted, hung new aisle signs, and created theme vignettes. One was a seaside cliff- complete with a waterfall, slate rocks, a giant lighthouse, and stacks of tuna cans. I freaked when I got to the produce section and there were ICE SCULPTURES. There was an ice FISH sculpture in the middle of the lettuce!
I finally found an employee and she explained they were competing to be the "Best Commissary in the World" and the committee was touring "right now!!!" (she was very excited). I was sooo hoping I'd get interviewed by them so I could tell them about the routinely moldy cheese, almost ripe meat, and produce that doesn't last the night. I have literally bought strawberries that were mouldy by morning. Oh the tales I could tell.
But they did have the place looking nice. Maybe it'll last a while.
I had all the "gruesome" I could handle on September 11. I went to that site and laughed my ass off. I wish someone would post that animated gif of that fat Palestinian woman doing the yodel-thing on 9-11 on that site.
It is gratifying to see justice done, even if it comes off a launch rail of a AH-64. I just hope he had at least a split second of awareness of what was about to happen before he received his award of martyrdom. Just a millisecond of despair at his ultimate "aw, sh1t!!!" moment.
OH? Got pics or a link? How large is the tire? (We're in the market for a robust wheelbarrow or utility cart.)
It also has a "flat free" tire. It is foam-filled instead of air filled. Nice.
More info at: http://jeepwheelbarrows.com
We'll probably have to buy one just 'cuz it says Jeep. LOL
