Why, thank you!--that's a very evil link! Say, would you be interested in joining a new supervillains' club some of us are starting to pool resources? We're offering a 50% discount on evil supplies to members--of course, we steal what we need, anyway, so it amounts to being free; but it's a good tax write-off. It's also good for networking and just for a plain good time--we're a fun group of people:
To: Fedora
Drat, I was hoping the 50% discount ment you got 50% more of whatever you were stealing. I am short on weapons grade cheese. Got any of that?
To: TalonDJ
I am short on weapons grade cheese. Got any of that?Do I have any weapons-grade cheese! :) You've come to the right supervillain! One of my hideouts is in Wisconsin near Green Bay, and we've got the best weapons-grade cheese in the world here. Here's just a few examples of our fine selection:

I bet you've used it to write fanfic, though! :) Unfortunately, no. You see, I have a terrible affliction. I suffer from the heartbreak of dysgraphia. *sob*
It's true! It takes every bit of my abilities just to post here. You'd probably have to take some time deciphering a letter from me, and prose, well, it's beyond me. I can think up good stories, I just can't translate them into written language. :-(

( During the cola wars, France was occupied by Pepsi for six months.)
Hi...haven't been around much this weekend. Is there anything I HAVE to go back and read, or can someone give me a rundown? Lotta posts.
Feeling bummed. We spent the afternoon with a family we're friends with, and as I was heading out the door somehow we got talking about the lack of available people in the area. I ranted...shouldn't have. Also basically had everyone agree that there isn't much hope...only a fool's hope. And I'm feeling very, very old and very, very single.
Think it's time to pull out the Death by Chocolate ice cream.

Sweet! My Puns of Mass Destruction program has been stalled for months for lack of weapons grade cheese. Looks like I came to the right place.

Aftenoon Miss Rose!
If you'd like a nice pick-me-up after a bummer of a day, I'd recommend Post # 2,166 in which JenB provided a link to What Not To Do As An Evil Overlord List.
Following the "list" theme, I have posted on #2,245 the How To Avoid "Mary Sues" in LOTR Fanfiction. Enjoy!

Aw, Rosie... *hug*... eat the ice cream.
And what on EARTH do they know, anyway? I can't tell you how many people I know who were ready to give up and then boom, God brought someone along. And you're not old. How many women these days are having their first baby at, heck, 40? You've got years left. Biological clock is giving off false alarms.

Yeah...I guess...but you kinda know the same sort of people, I think. Most people want big families, and I'm already getting old by that standard. Not that anyone but me said that, but I do feel it. And considering I haven't even had a close friend in about four or five years...it's hard not to get discouraged. Especially since I don't really want to move, and don't really know that it would make a difference if I DID.

Well, if you're supposed to have a big family, God will give you three sets of triplets!
I know it's discouraging. But getting depressed doesn't actually help. I'm not going to say, go out and do something about it - I don't think that's our job, as women. But... if you did move somewhere, it might help. After all, you're a lovely, conservative Christian woman. You're intelligent, into computers and books and mildly geeky things. And you like large families. And maybe that's not... in demand, in Vermont, but other places maybe it would be.
BTW - just for your own interest... I've been researching Fort Collins, CO quite heavily. One thing they have is a really excellent public transportation system. If I ever convinced you to go out there with me, you could take Bilbo along and he'd be able to get around.
