Axel Foley is the character that Eddie Murphy played in the Beverly Hills Cop series.
If you haven't seen it, you must rent this movie right away!

" 'Look, man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!' " ---Axel Foley "Beverly Hills Cop", one of my "guilty pleasures" movies, along with "Ruthless People" and "True Lies".

I went Googling and found this site called
Hollywood costumes and this lady makes (or will 'til the end of this year) very high quality LOTR costumes --you can get Eowyn's white gown for only $600! (Hey, it's half the price of those other gowns...)

Sigh again. I am going to have to get my mother to teach my sisters to sew. (It's hopeless for me. I have neither the patience nor the hand-eye coordination for anything more complicated than plastic canvas).
I would love dresses like those, though...

Wow!!! Great dresses!!! I keep thinking one of these days I'll make myself something like one of those. But, I have to get the sewing machine fixed and some other things *finished* before it will ever get past the *thinking* stage. And anyway, where would ya wear one?

Oh yeah, good ol' comedies from the 80's ---back before gross-out comedies of the 90's and 00's -- ick.
Another one of my faves from way back then was 48 HRS:
"Jack... Tell me a story."
"F*** you!"
"Oh, that's one of my favorites."

Where do you wear that dress?
Anywhere you want, I'm thinking. Certainly to Entmoots.

Well, there is that. Somewhere I have hidden away a funky old outfit that I wore to a couple of those. LOL But, they sure didn't look like that!

Don't worry, Clark Kent, I will never let your true secret identity slip. :-pWhew! They think I'm Clark Kent--good thing I'm wearing these glasses! Now if I can just sneak back in before Aunt May notices I'm gone. . .

To: stands2reason
I've actually never seen Beverly Hills Cop, despite liking Eddie Murphy's SNL stuff. Is it good?
To: Ramius

Heh... Spiderman is the coolest superhero. Except maybe Wolverine. Or maybe Batman but he's not really a superheor, is he?

It may well be that Ayman Al Zarwahiri (sp?) aka 'the doctor'... the #2 guy always with UBL, with the glasses,... is right now on a table getting an autopsy.
There are those that think he's even a bigger catch than Bin Laden would be. UBL is a figurehead, but AZ was the brains of the outfit.
Wooohooo!!!
To: Ramius
:~) Was just over there tryin' to get details! Sounds great to me! Yippee!!!! Ya think 2J's gonna be makin' some more punkin' pies? :-D

Heh... Spiderman is the coolest superhero. Except maybe Wolverine. Or maybe Batman but he's not really a superheor, is he?Well, I think technically Batman's a superhero without any superpowers. He's pretty cool; but Spider-Man is cooler than him. As for Wolverine, one time in Secret Wars after Spider-Man got done taking out all the X-Men single-handedly, Wolverine tried to sneak up behind him; and of course Spider-Man has Spider-Sense so that doesn't work, plus he can bench press 10,000 pounds as opposed to Wolverine's 250+; so without turning around Spidey backhanded Wolverine across the room and said, "In your dreams." :) Spider-Man is the coolest :-) Exhibit A:

Can't touch this :)
