I think I will copy this post and present it to the director of our parish catechism program. I told her I wanted to take my class to see The Passion, and she said we must get permission from the pastor because it is "controversial." If he has doubts, your list of comments should put them to rest.

The only thing to be aware of is the age of those in the class. This a realistic, if violent, portrayal of what happened to Jesus. The only controversial part, imho, is that so many in the world would have Christians deny the historicity to appear politically correct.
