Kitty Caption XXXIX – New ZOT Pictures – (Humor/Meow Alerts)
16 February 2004 | PetroniDE

Posted on 02/16/2004 2:01:23 AM PST by PetroniDE

It’s a miracle. This week’s kitty thread is posted at its normal time (about 4:15 am CST on Monday).
One good thing about the recent surge of ZOT threads; they are a good source for finding new kitty pictures. All five pictures this week are making their first appearance on the Kitty Caption threads. Five new pictures, it’s a miracle.

Don’t mess with the Viking Kitties

Probably. I can't recall any specifics right now but I'm sure if I watched it again it would be familiar.

I've caught a few Sonja Henie movies lately. Now, there were some skating extravaganzas!

My Lucy almost gets in that position when I feed her her dinner. It's hilarious. Friends can't believe she would "beg" until she actually does it. She's my girl, though.

She looks like she's been told to "drop and give me 20."
That one is great!

Let's see...I can throw popcorn at her and she eats it, she knows when I open a can of tuna fish, she eats Cheetos, licks the outside of peanut shells and if given the slim chance I have rolls on the counter she will bite through the bag to get a nibble of bread.

Oh yeah, she eats rubber bands and Christmas bowes and string, all which I end up clean up BTW because she gets sick from doing so /obvious. Naughty girl. No Christmas bowes anymore on presents under the tree, I learned my lesson.

Neverending stories with my beloved Motley. She rocks!

She cracks me up. She makes me smile day after day.

ZOT is taken from two places: B.C. Comics and the movie Caddy Shack. In B.C., a large lightning strike is labeled as ZOT, and in the movie a clergyman is on the golf course and killed by a lightning strike.

I'm sure you know that ZOT is used to get rid of trolls and Bush Haters on FR.

Thanks for your ZOT explanation.I'm glad I finally asked about it and you were the right one to ask.

Thanks again!

Speaking of cats freezing. I have a friend that works with a group in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They work with colonies of street cats, and she told me that "many" times they get cats in with ears frozen solid. She said a lot of them have ears that have just snapped off!! They had one such little guy in their shelter and they named him pumpkin head. His head was completely round with no ears and he was an orange tabby!!

Thanks for that!! So true. We did have him for 10 years but I would have liked a second 10!! Wasn't to be. I felt extremely guilty tho because I thought I should have noticed something. I didn't. He just suddenly lost a lot of weight and became listless. I then took him to the vet and his kidneys were completely shut down.

Animals need to act fine in order to survive and that makes it hard to spot problems with our pets. It happens to all of us us who share our lives with animals. For what he went through, ten years is okay.

You want a hoot get a Siamese. They tend to be long lived and if you like spunk, you'll have endless laughs with one. They tend to be people oriented and very smart, and apparently they think your laughing is a giant's purring.

I happened to luck out and get one as a stray. My vet filled me in on the breed, all the while laughing.

*run into walls and she once stuck her little nose right into the flame of a candle*

Sounds like she might have a vision problem.

Amigo was from the Siamese family. He was just like that. He really was smart, and fun and loving. His meow was like something out of a horror movie. It was comical to hear him growl at the window if he spotted another cat outside. I'm still going to try to find another little stray, black/brown and of the Siamese family. I could surprise my son with it. Wouldn't you know tho, just a month or so BEFORE we lost Amigo a little stray cat showed up in our yard. He was so young he couldn't even eat dry catfood yet. Mark and I snuck him in every night for about a week before I told my husband the little guy was staying. He's turned out to be a big fluffy cat - looks part Maine Coon to me, and his name is Buttons. He has the cutest face and his nose looks like a button. He's my son's pet now.

All cats are heroes. Maybe Buttons was meant to come into your home. Word gets out, you know. That's how I got four strays. Once one found out if she hung out by the birdfeeder and looked starving, a human would fix it and apparently we were marked as suckers. The ones we couldn't find homes for stayed here. Happiest find of all was finding the families of two strays over the last few years, but whoever gets to stay here gives us the opportunity to discover just how amazing each and every one of them is.
