Its a miracle. This weeks kitty thread is posted at its normal time (about 4:15 am CST on Monday).
One good thing about the recent surge of ZOT threads; they are a good source for finding new kitty pictures. All five pictures this week are making their first appearance on the Kitty Caption threads. Five new pictures, its a miracle.

LOL!! It usually freaks people out to hear how many of these critters we have. It freaks me out each morning when I wake up and stumble out to the kitchen. It's definitely a "herd" we have here.
How do I take care of them all? It's a full-time job. They're fed their canned food in three groups. Dry food is kept out for nibbling on at all times; a bowl in the house and one outside for those who go out.
Each January, I get the new calendar and write down who gets shots each month, which is written on the old calendar. The vet's clinic sends out post cards each month but sometimes they're a little off on the scheduling.
I keep a constant eye out for anyone feeling poorly and get them to the vet if necessary. I can always tell when one is sick, even with so many. They're my "children" and mommies know these things, right? LOL!
Yes, they all have names, and most have nicknames. Not only do they all know their own names, but they also know each others'......you should see the looks of jealousy from the others when I talk to one. They're just like little four-legged people. LOL!

What a cute picture of the four little leisure kitties! They're resting up for the Democratic Convention when they go into Viking Mode, yes?
Yep! And anyone in the path of these four, plus the other 35, when they all take off at once is in dire trouble! LOL!

I know I'm no pro with graphics but played around with this pic of Ophelia. Her glowing eyes begged for an attempt at least. LOL!
I asked her permission and I'm assuming the purring I hear is an "affirmative"......she's up for grabs if anyone wants to use her in the future. She's a great killer and and doesn't mind adding troll to her diet. *snicker*

sorry for your loss, we all share the grief of losing our beloved pets. I remember when we had to put to sleep a cat (among 9)and the house felt so empty without her. We would like to have more now but our remaining kitty is so afraid of everything, including our grandchildren, that we don't have the nerve to make her upset.

The cat is Inga and she lives on
Mt. Washington Here she is indoors on the mountain

and if you search "Inga" or "cats" on their website, you'll see they're pretty hardy up there.

I'm sorry sorry to hear of your losing Amigo. Such an empty space that is left when they're gone.
I'm sure Amigo is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

39! Wow! I would definitely be divorced if I tried to take in that many cats. I have 2 now and I don't think I could convince Mr. iceskater to add a third. 39 would be grounds for divorce as far as he would be concerned. LOL

Prayers for you on your terrible loss. You develop an extra special bond when you go through so much to get the cat, it makes it harder when you lose it. But always remember that you gave it a life it never would have had. From half dead to an international traveler. How many cats have traveled and enjoyed that kind intrigue? You both lucked out. Awesome.

That looks almost like Motley when she brought up a little mouse up from the basement of my old apartment. Good girl!
She thought is was a play toy. I scooped it up and tossed the little varment off the balcony. Except, said varment was living. Not far, the little critter ran away just fine.

There are days when I am ever-so-grateful for the undo key. I can definitely relate.
To: MotleyGirl70
Talk about the basement, I went down one day and found a small twig on the floor. Picked it up and found it was actually a mouse tail, skinless. I searched high and low and that's all I found.
One day the girls were extra playful and let one upstairs. By the time I found out there was blood all over the place and the mouse was still alive. If I only had a camera...a minuscule mouse surrounded by four adrenalined female felines. When I came in, it died of a heart attack.
