Its a miracle. This weeks kitty thread is posted at its normal time (about 4:15 am CST on Monday).
One good thing about the recent surge of ZOT threads; they are a good source for finding new kitty pictures. All five pictures this week are making their first appearance on the Kitty Caption threads. Five new pictures, its a miracle.

There is no such thing as a snooze button for a cat that wants breakfast. Whew! That's the truth! If I make the mistake of letting the dry food bowl run empty, these critters swarm when I fill it back up. It's a feeding frenzy!
(and this isn't all of them! can't get 'em all in one shot)

Check out the photos, both cats and people look like they love it. I've been up there a few times and it is always an experience. Just remember to always bring coats, hats that won't blow away, and gloves. Even though you can drive up there or take their amazing train, you might need warm clothes even in summer. I love the place.

My goodness, how many do you have? I count 12 in the picture.
I have 14 of the little beasts. Two showed up pregnant a couple of years ago, and had 5 kittens between them. That was on top of the 7 I already had, 5 of which came as a package deal--we didn't know the cat we picked up at the pound was expecting. Wish I could post some pics, some of my babies are just adorable.

Hey, I'm over on the kitty thread. See the picture at # 39. What a hoot!
CO, that was a sad story about your black kitty. :-(

Actually grizz, losing Amigo was doubly terrible. I actually brought him home from Puerta Vallarta Mex. I picked him up in the resort. He was just a little mangey, beat up sick little kitten. I found a Veterinarian who treated him for hookworms, all his lacerations probably from big Tom cats, vaccinated him and back dated his rabies certificate for me. It was quite expensive, ($600.00) but I got him home. I had no trouble getting the paperwork done in Mexico as they sure aren't worried about one cat leaving the country, in Los Angelos, they checked him over and stamped all the necessary documentation. Then when we got to Vancouver, B.C. (which is where I thought I might have some trouble), the Veterinarian that we had to take him to for inspection etc. asked me how old he was - I said 3 months, I showed him all the Veterinary paperwork on him, and then upon learning that we were from Kelowna, he says "Oh your from Kelowna", I have a brother who's an eye doctor there, maybe you know him?? Stamp, stamp, stamp as he's talking to us about his brother and Kelowna, then off we went. I had to sneak him into the hotel in a duffle bag because we had to stay overnight in Vanc. because it was so late. When we got to our rooms (David and I) and my sister and brother-in-law, my sister says" Lynn I just cannot believe you pulled this thing off". LOL Amigo turned out to be an absolutely beautiful cat. My Vet said that he was definitely from the Havana Brown line. They are from the Siamese family. His personality, temperment, etc. were just wonderful. He and my son were inseperable. That was a very sad day and to just top it off, Amigo died on my son Mark's birthday!! We'll miss him forever.

I'm not called a "certified crazy cat lady" for nothin'......we have 39 of the furry critters! LOL! That's why I can't get them all in one pic. Maybe with a panoramic camera.....
We're just softies for a stray and can't turn anyone away. When a new one shows up, it's taken in for an FLV test, then shots if the the kitty is healthy. Neutered, too. We keep our veterinarian pretty busy, needless to say. :-)
It's an adventure having so many but we love every one of them and won't give any away.

Oh I know how that must hurt him. I am so sorry for your loss.

39! OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love cats, but how do you take care of all of them? Have you named them?
To: sciencediet
Wrong. Wrong! WRONG! That picture is just plain wrong!!!! Whoever did that to that cat should be stripped naked and dumped on a moutaintop in Alaska. What a creep to let a cat freeze like that. @$$#*[+

to #28 - that is so cute! I love when my kitties get right in my face like that and all I can see is an eyeball, don't relly like the cold, wet kitty nose on my cheek though...

Finally got around to getting pictures of my babies. My wonderful brother gave me a digital camera for Christmas, so I've had no excuse for the last month and a half. Anyway here they are:
this is Beanie: she's 12 and, like C.O.'s Amigo, sleeps with my son (who is now 18) every night of her life. I know how devastated your son must be to lose such a companion. Mine wouldn't even stay at a friend's house when he was younger because his beautiful Beanie couldn't go with him.
this is Mickey: he's 2 1/2 and the son of a stray. His mom had her litter in a storage shed at the high school and kids started taking the little ones before they even had their ears open. By the time we intervened and brought momma here, there was only one left. We heard through friends of the idiots who took the others that Mickey's 3 litter-mates are either all dead or have severe psychological problems. Momma nursed this big guy for four months before she finally got tired of it. Even the day she got fixed, the first thing she wanted to do when she came home was nurse her baby. Unfortunately, soon after that she decided to return to her wild ways and though we looked for her for months we never did find her again. (sorry tis is kinda fuzzy, I'll try and get a better one)
and finally, this is H.K.Troublemaker: who was a stray kitten who wandered into the greenhouse at my local Lowes last October. I think she was about 3 months old then, so that would make her around 7 months now. It took a lot of patience and a not of love, but she is turning into a very sweet cat. We joke that she's a little retarded though because she does things like run into walls and she once stuck her little nose right into the flame of a candle.
