Who knows what their response to anything we do, or vice-versa? That understood, I think the basics would apply.
Hurt the aliens and/or their stuff, they hurt you.
The ET's need food, they will seek it out.
They need raw materials to build things, they will seek it out.
Etcetera.
Of course, if WE are the food and/or raw material, that would be, as they say, bad.
