I go first.

Rep. Harold Ford, Jr (D-TN) because he is a southerner and will energize the black vote.

Harold Ford is not old enough to be picked as the VP.

I say he picks Hillary.

Jane Fonda.
After all, they both fought for the same side in Vietnam.

You took the words right outta my mouth...If he's smart, Kerry picks Ford for those reasons AND (I've heard) Ford is more of a moderate Dem compared to the Pelosis and Gephardts.

Since Daniel Ortega is not a US citizen he probably won't be picked, either, but Ortega, a communist thug who Kerry propped up during the 80's, is amongst his favorite leaders & a likely model for any potential nominee he'd consider as VP. My other guess, aside from where Kerry's heart lies, would be Bill Richardson.

.

Mark Warner: moderate, "southern", gets good press.

Promising Hillary the Chief Justice nomination will ensure her support.

If Kerry is smart he won't pick Ford because he fails the constitutional test on age. Thus, I hope he does pick Ford!

He'll take whoever his special interest masters tell him to pick. Even though he might get Fostered, they might instruct him to select Hillie.

This battle will be quite revealing. If Hillary is the veep candidate, it will suggest that they actually think they can beat Bush. Otherwise, it is likely to be Edwards---then watch the fireworks as the Clintons step in to "kneecap" Kerry.

Edwards said he will not be Kerry's VP. But who knows he could change his mind.

Harold Ford could never be the nominee for VP, since he's black. Remember, these are the Democrats we're talking about, where no black need apply for any high ranking position.
