If I could have joined the questioning, I would have wanted to ask, "Scott, do you feel that Mike McCurry and Joe Lockhart watch these things and laugh their heads off? McCurry could come out and tell reporters that he's made it his policy to learn nothing about what the President has done, so he doesn't have to lie to anyone, and everybody here bought that."
Did you see the story about today's press conference? That we now have a FReeper in the White House press corps who got in some real good shots today? A link to the thread is in #162 if you missed it earlier.
Wish I could help you with your decision. One thing I have discovered when I have a tough call to make is that after I have made the decision, I usually feel either real good about it and at peace or feel bad about it and still worry ..... I guess it's intuition or 'gut' instinct or that still, small voice confirming or questioning the decision.
If you have until Thursday to let them know, set your own deadline for sometime Wednesday and make up your mind. After you've slept on it, see if it still feels right. I know we're not supposed to be all touchy-feely like the liberals but this is something else entirely .... this isn't emotion, this is relying on something deep inside us.
Each of your choices has pros and cons so neither will be a total disaster. I used to talk to my kids in terms of some decisions being irrevocable .... having life-long and serious implications. Those are the ones where you must make the right decision .... drugs and such. Other decisions, even major ones such as this, can be changed later.
Prayers and *hugs*
