Mornin' everyone.

Hey Ramius, can you recommend a spam blocker? Spam is getting out of control on my email program. Earthlink has a free one, but I'm not sure I should use it, as I have read on FR that some Earthlink software installs spybots.

BTW, I was talking to a buddy down in Key Largo yesterday, an ex chopper pilot in Viet Nam who is a good friend and fishing buddy. Apparently, according to the local USCG folks, they have apprehended Al Qaeda operatives being smuggled into Keys waters recently on go fast boats, seems they are bringing 'em in much the same as drugs are brought in. Also mention was made of a house busted in Nassau, Bahamas, where Al Qaeda were holed up. No doubt, our people were in on that, as they usually are with drug busts out there.

None of this stuff seems to make the news, scary.

Interesting. You gotta wonder what things are happening but not making it into the news.

WRT anti spam tools... There are many good ones that I know by reputation, spamkiller and mailwasher are perhaps the top ones. I haven't used them myself though. We use Postini, but that's a mail filtering service that only signs up whole companies and doesn't offer single user accounts.

You might want to go back and consider the free earthlink service. I'm supposing that they are your ISP and your mail address is an earthlink address? The huge advantage of using them would be that the mail would get filtered way out on their network on their servers, and the crud wouldn't ever even get so far as your local mailbox or your outlook inbox. That's a big advantage. I would suppose that it also includes virus scanning at that location too. That's also a big advantage.

If you go for your own software, then everything still hits your mailbox and you still have to download all of it, and the filtering doesn't happen until it reaches your computer.

That kind of stuff is scary, Sam!!

After this past week, with all of the horrible news regarding kids being killed (Carlie in Sarasota, that young boy murdered in school, etc) - news about Al Qaeda floating offshore can just be overwhelming.

If ever there was a time to get closer to God, this is it!

They prolly don't want to alert AQ so that the supply will continue. The men were most likely sent with the instructions to stay low. If they're caught, no one would know but us! This way, the CG can keep getting them with the source being none the wiser, at least for quite a while.
