We had that happen in church last week - twice! And the second time was during communion and whoever it was just let it ring! I was astonished!

I bet it could be worse though...I bet people just forget. I almost did! (I'm still not used to having it, though.)
I would venture to say that most people make an effort "nowadays" to turn them off...seems like it's gotten less to me. Or maybe it's just that they can get them to vibrate instead. Mine does...but I prefer the flashing lights...it got my attention from my purse and I didn't have to hold it or anything.
