Oh dear. I'm compared to Hemingway.
(I always had a sneaking suspicion Hemingway was overrated, but what do I know? I know his style isn't mine, that's all...)

Hemingway may be over rated by some, but I can definitly identify with and respect many things that he wrote, he had a good sense of humour, and a dry way of comunicating a certain amount of dry loneliness we can all identify with at time. (despite some of his leftist veiws)

I think, unlike you, Hemingway was not a very nice person.
But, IMO, his writing ability is not overrated. I think the guy actually, singlehandedly, changed the way prose is written.
Is it cold in Pittsburgh?
