45 minutes is an awful long sermon. But usually even a really bad sermon raises a topic which I can find interesting enough to daydream about. Or if not sometimes I will just take the opportunity to practice meditating--can always think about breathing if there's nothing else to do.

Not a long sermon when the pastor's there! But he's taking a three week study leave (spends it down in Florida at a seminary, reading about whatever he's going to preach on for the next year). So we've got filler.

The guy we have usually has decent points. His delivery, though, puts me in mind of a young, slightly more tolerable, Ross Perot.
