Some of them are better than others. The allegory is more subtle and, imo, more meaningful in, say "The Silver Chair". "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and "The Last Battle" were also really good, "Horse and His Boy" and "Magician's Nephew" had their high points. (I think you'd find Jadis, from Magician's Nephew (and of course she's the witch in Lion Witch and Wardrobe) interesting.

I plan to read the whole series eventually. Also need to read the Perelandra books.
BTW, last night I was trying to fix the plot problems in my story that we were discussing, and in the process I came up with a whole new subplot that I'm excited about--I'll tell you more later.

Magician's Nephew is my favorite of the series, closely followed by The Silver Chair and The Dawntreader.
Didn't care as much for Horse and His Boy...it wasn't bad, but not as interesting as some of the more "magic" books.
