It's a real shame and has left me feeling very dismayed. He wasn't that much older than us, I guess...early 50s?
He was our Sunday School teacher for a time.
He came in our class the Sunday before this happened to speak about missions. This guy is sharp as a tack, a real businessman, you know? (He has a bunch of land with a gorgeous house and a property caretaker that lives in his own house at the gate.) Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet, though...like most Okies. Just real down to earth.
Anyway, he came into our class and like forgot everything he came in to talk to us about. Very odd. I remembered thinking then that he looked tired. Then this happened just a few days later.

Wow! That is very sad 2J. Especially for his family but also for those of you who knew him AND your church and community.
But, you KNOW who he's with NOW!!!
I hope this doesn't sound really crass to say right now, but last Saturday when I knocked myself in the head and everyone was so worried about me... and I called Tammie to come over here and hang out for a few hours Saturday night - just in case I needed it. Well, she checked out my head and was concerned cause there was no lump where I'd smacked it - but, it was definitely whacked hard. When I said I knew it that "could" be bad but really didn't want to go to the hospital she said, "I know what you're thinkin', it's either I'll wake up at home to my regular life tomorrow morning OR - I'll wake up with Jesus. What's the problem there?"
