Wow! That is very sad 2J. Especially for his family but also for those of you who knew him AND your church and community.

But, you KNOW who he's with NOW!!!

I hope this doesn't sound really crass to say right now, but last Saturday when I knocked myself in the head and everyone was so worried about me... and I called Tammie to come over here and hang out for a few hours Saturday night - just in case I needed it. Well, she checked out my head and was concerned cause there was no lump where I'd smacked it - but, it was definitely whacked hard. When I said I knew it that "could" be bad but really didn't want to go to the hospital she said, "I know what you're thinkin', it's either I'll wake up at home to my regular life tomorrow morning OR - I'll wake up with Jesus. What's the problem there?"

LOL It's a good way to look at things and yes, I anticipate tomorrow will be full of thanksgiving. He died on Sat. morning and his wife and son were in church on Sunday morning. I think I would be the same way...I would want to be with my church family.

The last service I went to was when my friend's baby died...I told you about that...the EMT made an error and accidentally killed her 22 month old?

That was one of the most devastating things I've ever lived through...I cried for months every time I thought of it. Even now, years later...my throat gets tight.

I anticipate this will not be so distressing...this man led an excellent life, gave so much to his community and to his Lord. Although I grieve for his family, I'm sure the service will be a celebration.
