BTW Jen, I didn't see this before. A little honey goes a long way with most people, school employees included. My mom taught in public schools, and so does most of ecurbh's family. I wasn't dealing with school teachers - all the school teachers I've known have been very nice people, though I preferred learning from my mom. I was talking about the admin people. They... dislike homeschoolers. Mostly they try to pretend we don't exist. I'm not talking generalities here, this is specific - like, they didn't tell us when the SATs were being held, so I almost didn't take them. Or they try to demand things they have no right to demand.
And I used honey! Four weeks ago, when I first asked them for this two-paragraph letter, I was so sweet and nice you wouldn't believe it. Four weeks later, as graduation is creeping up and they haven't bothered to send it, not so nice.
I've got no problem with school people in general, it's just these specific ones I dislike.

I think it's registrar's office folks. Though there are a few nice ones...it's still an interesting office to visit. And I'm not even dealing with them as a student! May in the future, though, since I get free tuition. Hopefully they're nice. After all...I do have powah to bring them dowwwwwn. Heh.

Though actually, now I think about it, it's mostly just one person. Sigh.

OK Jen! - I worried a little when you said you were yelling at them over something that the college wanted!
I hope it gets sent in time. I am sure you are right, there is kindof an 'Us' versus 'Them' thing going on that adds problems to what could have been simple.
