Evening to you as well. Was kinda enjoyable, the Oscar results, been a long time since anything I really liked has won anything. Come to think of it, Open Range, didn't get any, which is about par for me.

I enjoyed that Oscar show more than most I can remember. Now, then again I don't usually watch them all the way through, but this one I did.
I was impressed that it seemed like this one was more about movies (as it should be) and less about wacko leftist actors (as it should not be).
I thought Billy Crystal did a fine job. His one-man show number at the beginning was just plain good theater. His intro montage piece was hysterical. Especially of course, the part where M Moore gets smooshed.
They seemed to get it this time, that we want a good show about good movies, and we just don't want to hear about your little peeves. I was impressed that even Tim Robbins and Alec Baldwin managed to deport themselves with class. That's saying something.
That Sean Penn had no class was, well... we already knew that. Even he could've been worse.

I felt bad for Seabiscuit, a great story and a great movie.... should have won something, in any other year. When they were calling it, I was willing to give them Adapted Screenplay. But... Now that we have them all, I wouldn't give them up!
