The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Good morning.
Sorry to hear about your loss 2J. My prayers are with you. I pray his joy be your strength.
Still cold WN? It is pouring rain here today.

I'm warm! I'm freeping from under a pile of quilts in the bed now.
BTW, I moved into Myranda's room now. So, I've got the comfy cushy bed. Heck, she ain't usin' it any more!
And this one used to be Grama's mom's bed! Of course the one in the other room that I was sleepin' in was Grama's so that's special tool.
Caught up with work?

If it had spelled it "whorid" I'd have suggested you boot your computer
...right in the keester!

Great! I wish I was in your "shoes" under a pile of quilts, right now. You had told me you changed rooms. I love Myranda's bed... It was so comfy when I stayed over last. So does this mean I will sleep in the guest room next visit?
yea I'm getting there. I worked thru lunch yesterday and styed late so I could catch up.
To: Argh
Your computer has a keester?
This is all very disturbing...
To: RosieCotton
Wait a sec, I'll check.

Oh no!!! THAT is too much work!!! We are both working too much!
I will let you sleep in the comfy cushy bed when you come to visit. I will make sure it has clean sheets just for you! You know, I have that terrible habit of just falling asleep on the couch in the den anyway. It is so comfortable! But, finally, I quit doing that intentionally - I mean - I've got 3 bedrooms here. It was kinda moronic sleepin' on the couch all the time.

I've had trouble with spell check and last names too. Spell check is just dumb sometimes.

Too Much Work! Amen Sister!
I hate it but what am I to do? Gotta work. Right?
To: RosieCotton
Where the computer's keester should be (don't ask!), I found a slip of paper with the words "Hillary Clinton" on it. This would make the paper qualify as so-called "toilet paper", so I shall dispose of it appropriately. Thanks for helping me clean up my office!

Thanks, Ecurbh, isn't that a cool mailbox?
Note that even the sights have been simulated.
It's inspiring, ain't it?
I may show it to a sculpture prof over at FIU.

Always happy to help a friend! ;-)

Yes, hafta work. :-(
I think I have gotten so spoiled to the amount of hours off with this job that I would have a real problem taking a real job now. Even though I might like work better.
I oughtta not complain. Last night after an hour of lecture in class I spent the next 3 hours making photos of the grandkids to hang on the wall here. And printing up snapshots from entmoot. I think I'm going to make a collage on the wall in the den of Entmoot photos. I've got that huge empty space on the wall between the door into the dining area and that bedroom that needs something. I've got Myranda's large Star Wars poster there but there is still a huge white area.

I have having my hot tea in my elf cup this morning.
Piled up in bed under many quilts while it is cold and rainy outside.
Freeping from my laptop that I finally got a phone line into the bedroom for.
Is this the life or what?

No you can't complain there. My job is pretty much the same way. It is feast or famine. I am either really busy or sitting here waiting for the hours to drag by.
To: PurpleQ
I think you've worked very hard to get this job you have now and am glad you have one where you at least get some of this time to relax and freep or email friends. It is a lot better than some of the hard work you had to do to work up to this!

If I have time tonight I am going to print out that collage you did of entmoot photos. Then, since I've got this HUGH empty space to fill and I am in the wall decor mode this week I think I'm going to make large prints of each of us that were at entmoot to put up around the collage. That way, I can have the whole group surrounding the collage. I will take a photo if and when I get this done.
It will be cool to look at and remember. And this is the wall that I face when I sit at my computer in the den and freep. That will be fun. May even have to go through my files and find photos of those who didn't get to come to entmoot! Put them there too... vicariously so to speak.

Got a few minutes on the computer today -- was sick with several colds or flu the whole time from before Thanksgiving to Entmoot!!
If it wasn't for Howard Dean I'd have had no entertainment at all these months.
