The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Sounds good to me! I forgot about food!! I'll be leaving all the food behind in the trailer...maybe I can pack a few sandwiches or something!
All I was bringing was bagels and tea!

To which place? From WF to Houston I come down 287 to 45. From Dallas to Tulsa I go up 75. From here to Tulsa it's a straight shot on 44 and took me about 3 hours and 15 minutes when I went to the Trilogy showing. Less coming home - no rush hour traffic in OKC.

Yeah, always went up 75 to Indian Nations to get to Tulsa. It was a wild ride with all the semi's and only one lane to drive in (can you tell it has been awhile?) Have never gone through OKC to get there. Haven't made the trip but twice since '86. Both times for weddings.
Went to Houston (okay it wasn't really Houston - it was Lake Jackson) for the Fourth last year. Took forever to get there... in the pouring rain, horizontal rain.

Yeah, but that's not a straight shot down interstate! Takes me as long to get to my brother's house in Bryan as it does to get to Houston. I end up taking 6 outta Waco.

Oh! I need cash too! Gotta go do that...
And fill up my pickup - but I was waitin' till after this class to do that so it would be full to leave from here tonight.
The dog is comin' to work with me tonight so I don't have to go home and get her.
I'm checkin' fluids between morning and afternoon class too.
