The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Let me know! I love peanut butter...and these are sooo much more peanut buttery than the usual cookies.

You know, I don't remember smurf or Star Wars Shrinky Dinks. I remember Snoopy and Snow White Shrinky Dinks.

I don't know how to do it with the crescent rolls, but with the biscuits, you just get the regular sized (not the jumbo) biscuits in a tube, you know? WHAM the end of the tube on the counter to split open the tube (I have to mention that part because I love doing it so much...) Then just take out a little biscuit, set the lil'smokie right in the middle, pull up the sides and pinch on the top. The biscuit will cook all the way around it or almost...
Sometimes the top comes unpinched, but that is nothing to be alarmed about.

You can get the regular biscuits at Aldis for like 25 cents and also the little franks...
Can just make scads of them.
Sounds like a good idea for break during Easter Moot.

And do I use a whole, a half or a 1/4 of the crescent?Good question. I might experiment with it. Then again, all cooking is experiment for me. PE seems to like my experiments, though. Elf-boy is too picky to appreciate my concoctions.

I love that too! Pop! My kiddo always jumps. I have done them that way too with the yummy but cheap cans of biscuits that are 4 cans for a $1 with just plain franks and a sliver of cheese. But I wanted a lit'l fancy. I have to bring them to work on Friday! At home we eat the yummy cheap ones with a lot of ketchup and mustard :-)

LOL!!! In this house, 'Nilla wafers are called Lembas, and are NOT to be wasted. Hehe.LOL!--cool :)

I haven't had them in a very long time, but talking about them is giving me a craving, heh. Need to go to the store soon anyway.
Hmm. I wonder if elf-boy would eat pigs-in-a-blanket? Prolly not, he won't touch hot dogs. Then again, I don't really *like* hot dogs either, for a different reason.

Experimental cooking! I thought that was the only way to cook! I have always wanted to have and use fancy, complex recipes for me and my boys but it never happens. I see more than a couple of ingredients and I run!
To: msdrby
I didn't know there were Snoopy and Snow White ones! I bet they must've made Shrinky Dinks out of a lot of stuff.

I gave Matthew a fried okra when he was little...he bit into it and just gasped! Got very obviously upset and pointed to the green inside with a white ball-looking seed sticking out...he said, "FROG!"
He thought he'd bit into a frog!

They do sound good don't they. I may not be able to wait until Friday. Anyway, Thanks so much for your help. I am heading home now. I didn't take a lunch today here at work so I am gonna leave an hour early....that is why I am hungry, Huh?
To: PurpleQ
Now's the time you should go grocery shopping! People always say not to go when you're hungry but I disagree! I always get the BEST STUFF when I'm hungry!

I agree! The more food you buy on impulse the more food you take home and eat...on impulse.
