I feel a sweep coming on...

I think you're right :) The way Billy Crystal built it up also gave that impression.

Yay, we're watching here. Best part has been Michael Moore crushed by the mumak.

Got two so far... Art Direction and Costume Design...

That sounds so prosaic, until you realize the vast scope of effort for both operations. They created thousands of spectacular, but believable, locations, and tens of thousands of costumes, some of remarkable realism and craftsmanship.

Litteraly, or figurately? I'd pay good money to see his punk, fat ass whupped by Gollum, or even Lobelia Sackville-Baggins.

Who knows? :) He's always travelling around picking up exotic instruments--started doing that when he was with the Police (back when he was still good).

After hearing Annie Lennox sing the song live following the other songs, is there really any doubt which song deserves the award?

Moore was nicely morphed into a scene with Mumuaks big foot coming directly down on him, we both hooted and scared the cat. Billy did a good Gollum scene as well.

Wn & Fedora; there were a couple of great ones being built, very talented folks on Tradgang.

Hair; wedding dress looks lovely and the beach wedding sounds wonderful (LSA)

Enjoyed the pictures of the Taquito moot, that looked like a fine time was had by all.

Hehehe... watching with my family...Mom, while listening to "Into the West", says, "'Why do the white girls call?' What's that mean?"

We had a good laugh and explained it to her.

Whew! I was afraid for a minute Cold Mountain would beat us--you can never tell with these Hollywood people and their anti-fantasy-genre prejudices :)
