The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hawaiian Wedding Song
This is the moment
Ive waited for
I can hear my heart singing
Soon bells will be ringing
This is the moment
Of sweet aloha
I will love you longer than forever
Promise me that you will leave me never
Here and now dear,
All my love,
I vow dear
Promise me that you will leave me never
I will love you longer than forever
U-a, si-la
Pa-a ia me o-e
Ko a-lo-ha ma-ka-mea e i-po
Ka-u ia e le-i a-e ne-i la
Now that we are one
Clouds wont hide the sun
Blue skies of hawaii smile
On this, our wedding day
I do love you with all my heart

I wanted to make sure it is still OK to deposit it.
Oh sure, go on and deposit it.
The wedding dress you have choosen is really pretty. Know you will look lovely and your "honey husband to be" will, as we say in Texas, be "right proud". Do hope all is going well as you all are planning.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure since we had sat on it so long!

I can never remember everyone's HH name, so to you all. . .checking in, hope you are all well.
Gettin' our chips and dips, drinks, plus making a batch of our "Hot As H...l Chili" (I think that is actually the name on the mix), and getting ready for the Acadamey Awards. I think "E" will start up tom at noon with their pre, pre, pre "Live Coverage from The Red Carpet" shows. Don't know how much I can take of Joan and Melissa and company, but if there is a chance of seeing our favorite hobbits, elves, and Middle-earth friends, I'll try to stick with it.
Been on the internet trying to find "cheap digs" for three in Chester, UK for, I think, around 18 days. Is there such a thing as "cheap" over there? We have the ok from both of Terry's bosses, his classes are on, my freqent flyer miles are holding Aimee' and my ticket to Birmingham, March 16th, then returning out of Manchester, April 5th. Terry will flying to England from Newark the weekend before we leave since he has to work up there first. We are excited, but having a rather hard time finding anything "cheap" for three. If it was just Terry and I, it wouldn't be so bad.
Wish I had "Flat Frodo" with me, but I don't know if I can handle him on an overseas flight. I'll send pictures with us holding our "One Ring", like he has put it on.

We'll be watching the pre-pre stuff too!
You know I love a spectacle!

Flat Frodo is retiring here on my wall.
He has one journey left now.... I think he will go to the Grey Havens to see us married. .

maybe his creases and bent arm will all heal as he sails "Into The West".
(Annie will sing the song tom. night. . . that is worth it all.)

Here a "funny" from this week's "Entertainment Weekly Hot Sheet" (use to be "What Everyone is Talking About");
"Academy Awards"
"It's weird to see showbiz millionaires fighting over little gold-colored statues. Makes you wonder if they'd do a movie for some glass beads and trinkets."

Hey, Rosie, I didn't do my runs Wednesday or tonight because of the traveling. I'm going to do one tomorrow, and then re-do this last week next week. How are yours going? Well...I moved Wednesday to Thursday since it wasn't gonna work out on Ash Wednesday, and did my third workout today. I'm repeating this week for sure. The other weeks were hard, but this week was really hard. I don't think I'm ready to push any harder, especially as my legs are still hurting towards the end of the long intervals. So...week three again next week.
On the bright side, though I don't know that I've lost any weight, my clothes seem looser and I feel more energetic. So it's working, if slowly!

And I missed all the fun while listening for a radio call that would never come, and freezing my ass off after dark. heh heh... yer in the army now... great story...
when I was with 2d Marines as the Regimental S-6, we were at 29 Palms fer a Combined Arms Exercise... lotsuh carnage... anyway, the Arty was ready fer a TOT fer a battalion-6 (155s) when a spotter round from the 81s that were shootin' a prep flushed a couple of scrappers in their sandrails outta the target area... the 3 and the FSC looked at the Old Man and asked if they should check fire... after a long pause the Col said "Give 'em a thirty second head start..." I'd take a bullet fer that man...
the range safety guys were losin' their minds...
