If Music Had No Value



If music had no value
We wouldn’t jump up and down at our first concert

If music had no value
We wouldn’t walk down the street with a tune in our heads

If music had no value
We wouldn’t tap our toes with the rhythm

If music had no value
We wouldn’t have tears in our eyes when the piano played

If music had no value
We wouldn’t dream of singing until we lost our voices

If this wondrous thing never existed, if we never knew what notes were, or a melody, or how smoothly a guitar chord melds with a drum beat…how would we be inspired? To be a part of something greater, all you have to do is slide a CD or record into the player and close your eyes (unless you are driving, in which case I’d say that would be a very bad idea). There are so many choices available to us now; all of the genres have started losing their definitions. A song is created every second.

Think about it…if there was no music. How much would be lost? How many emotions, experiences, and strands of memory would never be recorded? How many tears would remain unshed? How many smiles would never surface when the perfect song is heard?

Often rebuked, yet always back returning

I'm feeling fine and am at work. Was also first to respond on a ZOT thread this morning, marking one of the true highlights of my FR career (Lair excepted, of course!)

Oh I love ZOT threads. I ususally get pinged to them, maybe I have been and did not see it. I am doing IM with my brother in MO too.
