Should President Bush admit his administration made a mistake on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?

Thank you alnick! I thought I was the only one to catch this and I've been posting it all over (you may have seen one of my replies earlier on this very thread).

Cync, you can catch Kay on the rebroadcast of Special Report on FNC in about a half an hour.

They were working on making ricin right to the end.

And some of it may have turned up in Great Britain. I'm not arguing the point. But the huge stockpiles of WMD that the 'Rats are talking about aren't there. By staying quiet the President looks like he's hiding something and the 'Rats are having a field day. They were just getting warmed up today. I think the President needs to get on top of this.

You don't need to convince me that we did the right thing. I know we did, but it's an election year and 'Rats will say absolutely anything to get elected. They'll sell out the country without thinking twice to regain some of the power they've lost.

I'd sure like to see someone flesh this line out some more. I think Kay's got something here and he's just waiting for someone to ask the right questions.

Exactly. When I posted the NPR quote this morning and someone asked for speculation about what would be worse than WMDs, my guess was evidence of collusion with terrorists to perpetrate another horrendous attack.

Kay said flat out on NBC that missile production was up and running....big time.

I agree with you. I would like to see this fleshed out. And we will. Probably will have to bear hearing the rantings and ravings of the dems yelling about Iraq sitting there minding their own business for awhile, first, then it will get spelled out.

I hope.

I think his reply to Cliff May regarding Saddam being himself a 'weapon of mass destruction' that this was 'right-wing spin' was simplistic and unfairly dismissive.

LOL I think that abiout him every day.

We agree. The president does need to get out there and set the record straight. Hope he does so soon.

The responses are stupid! It assumes that the President made a mistake in claiming there were WMD in Iraq.

Very true. O'Reilly is trying to turn this into a Bush problem instead of a CIA problem. Bush used the same intel as Clinton and Congress and they all believed there were WMD. The CIA was castrated by the liberals after Watergate (Church Commission) and they've been trying to destroy it ever since. Lack of humint assets on the ground with capability in local languages and cultures is the major weak spot.

I thought it might be me, but I've felt that lately Fox is changing. They don't seem to be as committed to accuracy in their statements. Re WMD, Rick Fulbaum commented that Pres Bush said WMD threat was imminent.....I almost jumped through the television. Fox's own Brit Hume consistently reported that Pres Bush said 'we don't want to wait 'till the threat is imminent'. I hate that Chris Wallace took over for Tony Snow. I no longer watch the Fox News Sunday show.

I realize that this is an election year and all the Cable News Channels are covering this.  But it just seems that Fox is rolling around with the Dems more then ever.  I am so sick and tired of this.

Yesterday, they showed President Bush speaking down south somewhere, I think it was ARK.  Fox showed him for a total of 5 minutes, then shut him off.  I was livid.

And this business about the war!  I don't know if they think we don't remember or we are stupid, but it took us 6 months to go into Iraq!  Remember?  That was all the talk for 6 months.  And I feel that in that 6 months, Saddam had all that time to hide anything he had.  Look at all the mass graves we are finding?  You can't tell me that the WMD's aren't buried somewhere.  Yet, the Libs are holding this over the President's head!

My husband used to get so upset about the fact that they announced we were going in, yet it took 6 months to build up.  And all that while, it was plastered all over the news.  I think 6 months was plenty time to give Iraq time to hide anything they had!

I don't know, but if Fox News covers the Dems like it has been for the next 10 MONTHS, I might need to rethink my Cable News Channel.

....if, in the next 10 mos, Fox covers Dems the way they have this week.......

I, too, may turn off Fox but will not go to another cable channel....CNN et al are worse. I'll watch Brit Hume and John Gibson.
